Okay, if you've not tried Whisper Creek Tennessee Sipping Cream yet, we need to ask you something... What the hell is wrong with you?!
Made right here in Nashville, it's the Southern answer to Irish Cream - but better. While Bailey's (and others) would like you to think they are made with Irish Whiskey, it's a teeny tiny percentage of what's in the bottle - most of it is neutral grain spirits (i.e. vodka). Whisper Creek is ALL 100% Tennessee Whiskey. Not only that, Whisper Creek has the highest proof of any cream liqueur out there, so it not only packs a punch, but that higher proof also has the benefit of giving it a lighter mouthfeel.
But what really sets it apart is the FLAVOR. Unlike those big brands with artificial 'chocolatey' flavorings and fake cream, Whisper Creek is made with REAL cream and all-natural flavors that compliment the flavors of Whiskey. Think pecan, red apple, caramel...mmmm. Seriously people, it's good shit. Trust us.
When they joined us for Tikitober on October 3, our hearts got a little fluttery just thinking of delicious frozen cocktails. So, we thought we get ready with a little experimenting.
2 oz Whisper Creek Tennessee Sipping Cream
2 oz cream
1 oz coconut rum
1 oz coffee liqueur
1 oz chilled strong black coffee
1 frozen ripe banana
a few coffee beans for garnish
Break the frozen banana into a few pieces and toss it in the blender. Add the Whisper Creek, cream, coffee and other spirits. Blend on high until smooth. Pour into glass and drop a couple coffee beans on top. Serve and enjoy!
