We're two weeks away from Bitter Lovers, our celebration of cocktails made with bitters, amaris and aperitifis. We've already posted two "bitter blogs" on the subjects of bitters and amaris (should you want to go learn a little more), but we're spillin' the beans here about some of the details of the event. You know us, we have to save a few surprises for the actual event!
So, you know by now when it is, right? It's from 6-9pm on Tuesday, February 3 at the beautiful Bell Tower event space in downtown Nashville. Seriously, just wait until you see this space! Recently renovated, it's a sight to behold to say the least. Even better, they're also whipping up some special bites for all of us, so you'll be able to snack on tasty passed hors d'oeuvres throughout the night.
All proceeds from the sales of tickets are benefiting Blood:Water, an amazing organization based here in Nashville. Since launching in 2004, they've raised more than $24 million to aid in the fight against HIV/AIDS and water crises in Africa. We're honored to be working with them for Bitter Lovers and encourage you to check them out.
If you're lucky enough to have tickets (let's hope you do!), you'll arrive and check in. Once we get that out of the way, we'll give you a glass to use for the night (as usual) and you'll be free to sip and sample among the delicious offerings for the evening. So what exactly are those offerings, you ask?
Here's a (partial) list for you. More will be announced as we get closer to the event.
While the list above is subject to change, what you can expect is a ton of creative cocktails and pairings, as well as the opportunity to taste many of these items alone and learn about the differences in flavor, production and history.
And just to make Bitter Lovers a little sweeter, Tempur Chocolate from Germantown will be coming to the event with dark, milk and white chocolate truffles - including a signature flavor just for our members and guests!
