3st Of The Month is a full media experience fueled by our love of all things booze that lives not only on our site, but also through a monthly VIP event designed to put the good stuff directly into the hands of the thirsty. Regardless of the day of the week, the 3rd - or 3st - day of every month plays host to an invitation-only party celebrating all the good things in life - friends, food, art, community non-profit organizations and, most importantly, booze! Every month has a different theme, location and focus, but as we like to say, it's essentially a new monthly holiday dedicated to booze. 

3st of the Month - a new monthly drinking holiday

The inaugural 3st of the Month event invitation for Sunday, August 3, 2014 was sent to 350+ tastemakers throughout Nashville. Our list included media like Garden & Gun, ThrillistPeople and Nashville Lifestyles, as well as local business owners, music-industry, top beverage industry and event professionals and social media influencers. Our list is now over 2,500 names and growing weekly.

In short time, 3st of the Month has proven to be an extremely well-organized occasion with a strong consumer and industry draw. Each month’s event is fun and engaging – attracting guests who are genuinely excited to attend and participate in the cocktail culture. As a result, 3st of the Month consistently provides a platform for me to reach consumers that are truly right for my brands.

How it Grows.

Members are encouraged to bring guests to the events, where those guests automatically become members. Each month, our members receive an invitation to invite new friends. As those new members attend, they get new friend invites and the list continues to build from there. As many likely know, social media works best when people have a chance to brag about what they are getting to experience. In order to keep our events fun and free of the typical cattle-call tasting format, we release special VIP access to our early adopters and tickets are released to our members in stages - with those joining most recently having the last opportunity to purchase. We also partner with local bars to feature special selections for those that cannot attend a 3st event. As the list continues to grow, we will be hosting more than one event on any given 3st and our hope is to watch it continue grow to other cities.

We invite top-shelf and boutique brands to come create unique, engaging experiences for the 3st audience.

But we don't just look for someone to stand behind a table and serve samples. We'll work with you to create a memorable experience and engaging content to help your brand make an impact. We encourage the distiller, wine maker or brand ambassadors to come mingle and socialize - making lasting contacts and meaningful relationships...not just repeating the same sentence over and over to people just wanting their free sample. That's some other event.

You should also know that we are operating within the parameters of the ABC by working with different non-profit organizations each month. They submit the application for a Special Occasion Permit and 100% of the proceeds of ticket sales go directly to the charity each month.

What we provide for our booze partners for each event:

  • Website inclusion
  • Social media and email inclusion
  • Dedicated table for each brand at the event
  • Ice for cocktails and/or chilling
  • Glassware - Our guests have a 9oz rocks glass instead of cheap plastic cups
  • Complimentary tickets for key accounts and/or clients

What our booze partners provide for the event:

  • Product(s) - We encourage creative cocktails, not just samples.
  • Licensed Server to staff their table(s)
  • Any brand marketing materials they would like to include at the event

But it is more than just a party.

Although the event in itself will be an excellent marketing opportunity, we think the key values to participating in 3st of the Month will come from the content we are creating and sharing through our website, email marketing and social media. We'll be teasing our events by sharing recipes with partner products leading up the event and following with additional content. In addition to product highlights and cocktail recipes, 3st partner brands will also keep an evergreen presence on our website and will have access to photos and videos taken at the event. Venues are able to showcase their facility to a VIP audience and share marketing materials at the event and our email messaging includes links about booking their own events with the venue directly.
